1. WHAT CAR DID YOU DRIVE IN MEDICAL SCHOOL, AND WHAT CAR DO YOU DRIVE NOW?

Carl Regillo, MD: Then, no car—bicycle only. These days, a BMW 640 (and I still ride a bicycle).

David Brown, MD: In med school, it was a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with faux wood panels. Now, it’s Ford F250 pickups and a BMW M3 convertible.

Baruch Kuppermann, MD, PhD: Old classic restored 1963 Ford Thunderbird. Now, it’s a Porsche Cayenne.

2. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST BIG-TICKET PURCHASE AFTER FELLOWSHIP?

Carl Regillo, MD: Watch from my wife as a graduation gift (first home came 4 years later after leaving the military)

David Brown, MD: New construction house

Baruch Kuppermann, MD, PhD: My first house

3. IF YOU STOPPED PRACTICING MEDICINE TODAY BUT STILL HAD TO MAKE A LIVING, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

David Brown, MD: Energy trader, and continue cattle ranching
